TRIBUTE TO KLODAWA

According to Jurek Francuz at his home in Glen Rock, NJ 1/17/07: Abramczyz was a nickname for Abraham Opoczynski, not a separate family name.

Also, as confirmed with both Michael Pizer and Moshe Krel, many Klodawites were given nicknames by their fellow townsmen. I am working on a collection of all these nicknames and will post soon. What I can tell you right now, is that whenever I brough this subject up to any of the survivors: Michael Pizer, Jurek Francuz, and Moshe Krel, they all laughed so hard. It apparently brought back some of the more pleasant, light-hearted memories of their lives and community in Klodawa.
