If you are loooking for information on Przedecz, you will be hard pressed to find anybody more knowledgable or entushiastic than Halinka Ziecik.

Although she was not 100% well, Halinka met Bachna and me with our translator in Przedecz and brought an extensive handwritten history of my Buks ancestors as well as giving us an thorough account of the town history and the pre-war Jews up until and how they spent their final days in the town before being liqudated.

It became her personal mission to find this information out, after talking to the priest of the Catholic church and learning how the church housed the community until they were taken to Chelmno. Another amazing Przedez adventure and learning exerience. Halinka's energy and entusiasm was unbound. The translator could not keep up with her, and I'm sure there were some thing that I missed or were lost in the translation.
